Who we are
From managed IT to managed intelligence
We started where most good IT partners start: keeping systems secure, available and well supported for businesses that can’t afford for technology to get in the way. That work, managed IT, Microsoft 365 and cyber security, is still the foundation of everything we do.
But the ground is shifting. AI is changing how ordinary businesses work, and regulation is widening to reach SMEs that never used to fall in scope. Most owners we meet are caught between the two: keen to use AI, wary of the risk, and unsure where compliance now leaves them.
That is the gap we exist to close. We are becoming a Managed Intelligence Provider, pairing the governance you need with the enablement you want, so you can move faster without taking on risk you can’t see. Secure the foundation first, then build intelligence on top. In that order, every time.
We are a focused, owner-led team based in Bangor, Co. Down, working with SMEs across Northern Ireland both remotely and on site. You deal with people who know your business by name, not a ticket queue in another time zone.

Local support, NI-based team
Every member of our team is based in Northern Ireland. When you call, you reach a person who knows your business, not an overseas call centre or an offshore ticket queue.
We don’t trade on personal letters after a name. Our authority is hands-on experience delivering secure IT and AI for real Northern Ireland businesses, backed by the organisational standards that hold us to account. We are also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and work to our UK GDPR obligations, including our Article 28 duties as your data processor.

Led by Scott Wilson
Wilson Computers is founded and run by Scott Wilson, who has spent his career delivering managed IT, Microsoft 365 and cyber security for small and mid-sized businesses across Northern Ireland.
The firm grew out of a simple conviction: that good SMEs deserve the same calibre of IT governance and forward thinking that larger organisations take for granted, without the jargon, the overselling, or the risk of being left behind as AI reshapes their sector.
That conviction is why Wilson Computers is deliberately becoming a Managed Intelligence Provider rather than staying a traditional IT shop, so clients have one partner for both keeping the lights on and showing them what’s next.

What does “Managed Intelligence Provider” actually mean?
It means we don’t stop at keeping your IT running. We also help you adopt AI and automation safely, and stay compliant as regulation widens: governance and enablement from one partner, in the right order.
What standards do you work to?
We are a Microsoft Partner and a registered ICO data controller, and we specialise in getting clients Cyber Essentials certified. We hold ourselves to the same organisational standards we help our clients meet.
Do you only work with accountancy, recruitment and manufacturing firms?
